Not sure if others have had issues with htis or not, but my lens would cause severe smearing/blur/shake hand held at any f-stop above f-4. From F- 4.5 up, all shots below say 1/30 of a second showed severe shake blur- I was gettign better shots without IS below 1/3 of a second- even handhhnadholding this lens with no IS at 2 seconds, the photos had less shake blur than when hte IS was on- this Canon EF 24-105mm.
