Plasma Caster does more damage slower & saves more ammo, the other eats ammo & is weaker but fires faster which I think an NPC would have a problem with. T45d Power armor gives 2 str. T51b gives 1 str, I could be mistaken haven't turned the game on in a long while, sounds right.
